QaShops: PHP, Hexagonal Architecture, Doctrine, Yii2 and Domain-Driven Design
I’m happy to welcome QaShops as a new Rigor Guild customer. We are helping the company part of
It’s Saturday. I’m at the home working in the CQRS by Example book. I’m mentioned on Twitter. Juan Macias, the CEO of a QAShops, based in Sevilla, and acquired by Vente Privee is talking about the good parts of Hexagonal Architecture and DDD.

Some followers are recommending my videos and the Domain-Driven Design in PHP book as learning material. I don’t like Twitter for discussing, but I’m feeling lucky today, so I take a look. There are popping up some doubts about Hexagonal Architectural in the thread. Let’s answer them! Usual suspects: Value Objects, Enums, Events, Command Handlers, etc.
20 minutes later, I received a Twitter Direct Message from Juan for a potential collaboration. One day later, a deal for 20 remote hours support and one NDA signed, we have planned the first Q&A session for what the team is working on.
The QaShops team, Christian Soronellas, and I had fun for 3 hours and discussed a lot around their working agreements, implementation doubts, and pragmatism. We used Zoom. We recorded the session. Everyone in QaShops can replay it 😉.
We published an article about Yii2 and Doctrine integration and a sample GitHub repository. We keep going using WhatsApp for quick answers and we are planning the second Q&A session in the following weeks.
Thanks to QaShops for trusting Rigor Guild for helping with their challenges. Welcome to the family!
