Hi Qualifyze! ✅
I’m happy to announce my new challenge as Chief Product and Technical Officer (CPTO) at Qualifyze. Qualifyze is a B2B start-up offering hassle-free supply chain audits to manufacturers. They are especially strong in the pharma industry but the solution that they own could be applicable to any existing market. My main goal is to align the needs of the customers with the right solution done technically right: “Do the right thing! Do the thing right!”

Why and Megatrends
Qualifyze exists for guaranteeing that critical human products (like food, drugs, clothes, etc.) are end-to-end manufactured and delivered to customers according to official regulations and company standards around critical factors like sustainability, labor rights, carbon emissions, etc.
Qualifyze sits on top of megatrends like sustainability, stricter regulatory environments, and supply chain control. It does not only offer a B2B model, but it also adds network effects by combining data from multiple audits, and multiple sectors to enable new opportunities for suppliers and higher quality for customers.
Product Team
Leading the Product Team is a great learning opportunity. The more time I have spent in Internet companies, the more I realize defining properly the problem to solve is key: it reduces drastically waste and increases success chances.
Together with the existing Product Team, we will work on identifying customer needs, reevaluating the business model, studying decision-makers, brainstorming and conceptualizing solutions, and measuring iteration-by-iteration
Tech Team
This time, I will see how Typescript, React, AWS, and Lamdas come together to deliver a high-quality, easy-to-maintain solution for our customers.
Leadership Team
With the core leadership team, we will evaluate opportunities to jump into other sectors and/or create new business models. The CEO and one of the founders is David Schneider and, during my interview process, we had great discussions about books, business models, product management, tech management, and much more.
Small Team
Product, Data, and Tech are about 30 people. After spending 3 years leading up to 250 people, it feels great back again to lead such a smaller team. It does not only bring the opportunity to mentor and coach in detail but also to get “dirty in the mud” dealing with code, infra, pipelines, designs, interactions, customer research, etc.
Equity
One of my requirements to change job opportunities was to have equity in the new company. It feels fantastic that the work you do for the company can also positively contribute back in the future as a good personal investment.
Thanks to all the supporting messages wishing me luck that I have received directly and via social media. I’ll keep you posted. Meanwhile, if you want to streamline your auditing process, approach me via LinkedIn.
